Since my Fulbright research focuses on sensorial stimuli (and hopefully their effect on emotions), it was about time to say a few words about music, eh? So, when speaking about Athens and its music, #WuxtryRecords is the first place that comes to mind. It is an independent record store in #Athens, and notable musicians have worked here, such as #PeterBuck of #REM and #KatePierson of the #B52s (younger generations might not remember them but in my times, hahaha, speaking as an old person, #LoveShack was making us dance, so check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SOryJvTAGs). Yes, these are also the most iconic musicians of #Athens. It is not that today's music scene isn't vibrant. There's a lot of cool places booming with music practically every day. It is a student city, after all...
You might find interesting #vinyls in #Wuxtry, somewhat expensive for European standards but still very interesting and cool. Local section is small and mainly focuses on the previously mentioned bands.
For me, however, coming to #Georgia was all about #countrymusic. And yes, it really is. My mornings in the first two weeks started with #YourGeorgiaCountry radio (106.1). It seemed, thought, that I learned several tunes practically by heart since they were constantly playing them. This summer will definitely be remembered for some drink-related songs such as #MorganWallen's #WhiskeyGlasses (check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjBp30kjzTc) and #LukeCombs's #BeerNeverBrokeMyHeart (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Lb9dq-JZFI).
